New Experience of Healthy Living: Natural Grape Extract

The Secret Weapon for Health - Natural Polyphenols

The ancient Greeks knew that grapes were more beneficial to the body than other fruits in terms of health, youthfulness, and vitality, but it wasn't until today that people recognized the role of polyphenols. The content of polyphenols in grapes is particularly high.

Polyphenols are a large class of naturally occurring substances in plants, which help plants resist various external threats (diseases, herbivores, ultraviolet radiation, etc.). Among them, the most studied polyphenol is proanthocyanidin.

Polyphenols can act as scavengers of free radicals in the human body, and dietary polyphenols play an important role in maintaining the body's resistance to free radicals.

ORAC Value - An Important Indicator for Measuring the Antioxidant Capacity of Plant Extracts

ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) refers to the oxygen free radical absorption capacity, also known as the antioxidant capacity index, and has now become an important indicator for measuring the antioxidant capacity of plant extracts, fruits and vegetables, and health care products. ORAC was first proposed by Dr. Ptior of the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging in 1996, thus quantifying the antioxidant biological activity of various extracts and other antioxidant substances. A study on human aging conducted at Tufts University in Boston, USA, showed that a daily intake of 3000 to 5000 ORAC units can have a significant effect on the antioxidant capacity of plasma and tissues.

Natural Grape Extract

Natural grape extract is obtained by extracting fresh grapes with water and separating polyphenols through a patented purification technology. This technology not only avoids the use of solvents but also makes the polyphenol mixture closer to the composition of natural grapes. The ORAC value of grape extract is higher than that of commonly used natural antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and tea polyphenols.

The water extraction technology makes the bitterness of natural grape extract much weaker than that of other grape extracts and even other polyphenol products on the market, thereby improving the taste of the final products containing this natural grape extract. It is in granular form, has good water solubility and thermal stability, and can be used in a variety of foods, including fruit juices, vegetable juices, soft drinks, dairy beverages, yogurt, nutritional bars, frozen desserts, candies, etc. The high stability and ORAC value of natural grape extract also make it a good additive for dietary supplements.
