what is Gallnut extract？

Gallnut extract is derived from the galls on the leaves of plants such as Rhus chinensis Mill., Rhus potaninii Maxim., or Rhus punjabensis Stew. var. sinica (Diels) Rehd. et Wils. from the Anacardiaceae family, which are mainly formed by the parasitism of the gall aphid Melaphis chinensis (Bell) Baker.

Active Ingredients:

The main active ingredients include gallotannin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, quercetin, etc. Among them, the content of gallotannin can reach 50% to 78%, making it the highest content component in gallnut extract.
