Extraction Process

After processing cranberry berries, ethanol is used as the extraction solvent, filtered after extraction, and the filtrate is evaporated and concentrated to obtain a crude proanthocyanidins extract. The extract liquid was degreased with petroleum ether. Then use a gel column for separation and elution, and collect the eluted procyanidins concentrate. and then subjected to a spray drying process to obtain the cranberry extract procyanidins.

Active Ingredients

Proanthocyanidins (PC) are polyphenolic compounds formed by combining different amounts of catechins or epicatechins. They are common in plants and are natural antioxidants found in plant stems. They are also known as condensed tannins.
Cranberries are rich in water-soluble type A procyanidins, and in vitro cytological experiments have found that only water-soluble type A procyanidins are the key component that effectively prevents harmful bacteria from adhering to urinary epithelial cells.

Application

1. Drugs and dietary supplements
